Anyone happen to know the 'size' of the bulbs behind the Speedo and Rev Counter?

Found these whilst surfing for replacements:

When I had a quick look at mine, they were un-coloured bulbs with the remains of what looked like a miniature green condom over them.

They are 501's - the green tint is standard - as is the TVR "condom" dimming system wink

Changed mine for LED's - good upgrade but make sure you get wide angle ones.

Great idea!! I am sure your lights were like mine where you cannot really see anything...did the LEDs allow you to read the gauges at night? Also, did you have to pull the gauges or just go from behind?

Much easier to just use 5w green bulbs from Car Builder Solutions or similar. The origials were only 3w made even dimmer by the "condom".

Agree, easier to use 5w from cbsonline. I used orange tints on mine, just because I prefer that colour, although I believe research shows blue tints are supposed to be the best for visibility and night sight.

LEDs are a straight swop for the standard green bulbs - can't recall which ones I used in the end but plenty on ebay - just look for wide angle.
