I finally pushed my TVR Chimaera into the 10's so am happy to be bragging.
I even had a nice drive home from York to Barrow with no AA wagon required smile

That has to be one of the best days racing ive had at York.

I ran 10.94 @ 128 on my third run of the day. I entered Pro ET which is a bracket racing class for cars running 11.99 and quicker. So i put 10.999 on the side of the car and went for it. I was more than happy to break out.

Then the real fun began, i set up for another run and gave it full beans off the line. The car took off like a scalded cat then BANG. O/S driveshaft sheared. So i was pushed back to the pits. 40 minutes later i had replaced the driveshaft with an old one i happened to have in the boot. Just in time to line up for my first round race in NSCC. I got to the semis in that but was beat by just .014 of a second by Russ Pursley in his chevy powered Dutton.

As for Pro ET, i didnt expect to do any good in bracket racing using nitrous but lined up round after round against some awesome cars. As i was slower i would set off first. I watched the cars catch me as we got to the finish line and if i thought they were going to pass me before the line i just hit the nitrous and stayed ahead. I won 3 rounds all within 0.05 of a second. I took the win and so won my first ever round in Pro ET. Today was a good day beer

Haha! Cool bananas, well done :-) I think the biggest achiever of the day has to be making it back home without the need for a flatbed!

Cheers guys.
I knew it was there at the previous meeting at York. We had a hefty headwind and i was trying my best to be kind to the car and preserving the driveshafts yet ran a couple of 11.1s

So I am now 2nd on the TVR table to Paul Chance's (Brummmie) 600bhp LS3 Cerbera thats run 10.62. I need to find 0.33
As soon as i have decent driveshafts in there i know i can get my 60 foot times down by .15 so will be getting close. Maybe a little more gas. I mean what can possibly go wrong rolleyeshehe
