Door window glass to targa roof seal

I am trying to correctly refit the targa roof to door window rubber seal.
Does the door window glass fit up to and outside the straight "lip" on the rubber seal with the seal lip on the inside, or does the glass go under the seal lip to leave the lip on the outside of the glass.
I have n/s going one way and o/s going the other!

I think the seal lip should be on the outside of the door glass to prevent water ingress.
To obtain fhe correct position of the seal, install the targa panels, raise the windows & mark a guide line on the targa underside with a marker pen held flat against the outside of the glass.
The seal position usually tapers from front to back, so this is the most accurate way to position it. Fit the seal the whole length of the aperture.
When the adhesive has cured, carefully mark where the A-frame "quarterlight" rear edge meets the seal ( window down ) & make a slit in the tubular section which will allow the seal to compress under the frame without distorting the adjacent area.
Plug the open section immediatley after this slit with a plug of rubber or blob of silicone sealant.
Thanks to Chris of D&C Trim for this advice & also for supplying the "fat girl with pigtails riding a bicycle" seals, I couldn't find them anywhere else.

PS, On my S1, I have to have the ( manual ) windows wound down about 6mm to allow the seal lips to overlap the glass.
Dunno how it works with those new-fangled eliectric jobbies....
