Rocker Covers

Evening,

Inside of standard TVR (RV8) rocker covers their is restriction plates mounted. These obviously have an important role to play. What would be the likely outcome of fitting ones without these inside.

Each cover has a vent. The main vent goes to the plenum.
Oil splash from the valve gear will exit the vents without the splash plates in place.

The TVR cast covers don't have them...

Pulled mine off when I replaced the rockers with higher roller bearing ones.. No issues after 4 years

My TVR 450 powered V8 Westfield has never had them in and is running the standard breathers for the last 10 years... its been all over Europe + a 4000 mile tour of the USA NO ISSUES whats so ever but its down t to you to make the decision.

But my question is... why do you want to take them out?? You've intemated you want to change them but to what?? if its just a colour change get them powder coated, painted or like mine chromed..I love a bit of bling!

Sorry for not being clear. What it is, is that I have some of the TVR cast ones now and they don't have the restriction plates inside, and I was wondering if it would hinder or damage anything with these missing.
