Anyone needed/had their injectors cleaned? I've been told mine need doing. Any idea of the approx costs? Or how much replacement injectors are each if any need replacing.

Thanks.

Replacements are around £30 each times 8 so budget around 250 notes. Cleaning is worth trying first!

Sometimes it's a bummer having 8 cylinders on your motor isn't it!

Cleaning costs approx £15 each. Cleaning is normally all thats required, you may have 1 or 2 that need replacing if your unlucky.

Thanks.

Not having looked closely yet, how easy are they for me to take out, shove in a bag and drop off at a specialist? (guess I'd need to number them?!?). I'm reasonable capable under the bonnet.

Alternatively, anyone got a good place to recommend in the Bucks/Berks area? Called Middlesex Tuning who want 350 notes to remove/clean/refit/setup car. Seem like genuine guys, but a smidge steep, esp. since they want to do it without me there ... I'm not the trusting type with my TVR.

I know the engine may need a bit of setting up afterwards, but I can get that done separately if needs be.

some places can clean the injectors whilst on the car
using ultra sound. They shold be listed in the yellow pages.... I had a local garage in East Grinstead but that a bit far from you.

It's also worth investing about £5 in some fuel
injector cleaner - redex make a good one.

There is also a 'super' cleaner available from
places like halfords when you put in about
1/2 a bottle of injector cleaner into 1 tank ful.

I ran out of fuel once and the super cleaner worked
for me - it would only run on about 6 of the 8 cllinders before that...

Try Aldon Automotive for injector cleaning, they have an ASNU Ultrasonic injector cleaner, and it does the job way better than anything from Halfords, i should know!
You can number them if you wish but after theyve been cleaned and flow tested (unless one or all are knackered) theyll be, well , ASNU!

I live at Crowborough quite near East Grinstead would be most grateful if you could tell me where this garage is.
