Arranging a trip to see my new car in build before too late, hopefully I will be able to get some decent pics. If I do then I will be bending your ears as to how to get them on here.
Has anyone got any questions that I can try and get answers for? There are always no end of rumours but I dont mind trying to get some facts. Please getlemen and ladies try to keep questions sensible and clean

Best of luck Di with your new car....exciting eh

Alan.
How many engines are in the queue waiting for rebuild ?
That would be a good starter
Are there any plans to allow dealerships (any or all) to do some of this rebuild work in the future ? As surely this would take some pressure off the factory and allow them to get on with the job of building new cars.
Do they really believe that they have fixed the early issues ? If so why (as I've heard) are they only offering 6 months warranty on engine rebuilds ?
Of course mine is actually in the factory at the moment for a top-end rebuild so I've got vested interests.
Have a good time. Hope you get lots of pics.

...and will make us overseas customers lives a lot easier/less expensive
Big Al. said:There are rumours (I heard from a dealer) of the a new V8 being developed for a new GT to replace the Cerbera.
and do V8's feature in any future factory made TVR's
Speaking to Andy and APM he reckons that the top-end could be replaced to include four valves per cylinder and any other gubbins, while the current bottom-end could remain.
But as the AJP V8 was expensive to produce perhaps it's a new TVR unit or outsourced.
Or just Chinese whispers again

Hi - any answers? Thanks

Hi Avalanche.
As you may have gathered from the thread currently running on General TVR and Gossip, info is not easy to come by. The "PR" lady that showed me around disappeared off to get any answers to my queries, so I do believe that the answers were fed rather than fact. Nil response to a future V8, silence re re-builds, and general avoidance re other issues. This is one of the main reasons that I posted on the other thread. I think now is the perfect time for TVR to come clean to their customers rather than give flowery press interviews which are supposed to keep everyone happy but have little factual basis. I could write a book on what I have been told is "fact" but ends up as so much heresay.

Hi,
what's the name of the PR-WOMEN? Danielle?
She gave me lots of information but the FACT is that I'm still waiting.
No complains about Danielle however.

Regarding LHD Tuscans:
The first 2 cars are now in Development for final inspection and sorting out several stuff.
We are expecting delivery in January 2005.
So be patient as every week in development will improve the cars![]()

Chrisof, you're generally very well informed. Could I ask how you're finding the new regime and whether you could offer any views on the communication from the factory and rumours on here?
Was at the factory this week and I'm pretty positive of the regime.
Factory is a very tidy place now, the workforce seems to be motivated to improve the cars.
There is a new level of quality control and the guys at the production line told me that the cars are better as ever before.
I also think that the Tuscan 2 has improved in quality, general appearing like shut lines, trim and everything else. It seems that the cars are now made with LOVE and not with a rush to earn money.
Problems are getting named and the new regime is looking for new solutions, BUT expect no wonders in 4 months time.
The cars are getting road tested from engineers and test drivers in every day use and they are reporting about problems and niggles.
Call me a mad man, but couldn't resit to order a Sagaris race car

All sounds promising, but yes, you're a mad man! Is that one of the Sagaris S's mentioned in the motoring press (with a Typhon engine) or a regular (if you can call a Sagaris that) 400hp beasty?
