Dare2b Stuff

I have a chance to buy some Dare2b cycling clothing at a very competitive price. Is the kit any good?

I don't think it's amazing stuff, but I got a couple of long sleeve tops a few years ago at a vastly reduced rate.

Mine seem to have shrunk. I know I'm getting fatter, but even the sleeves are too short now.

I've got one of their soft body armour tops, its a couple of weeks old so no idea on longevity but seems to be good quality.

I've a couple of their base layers and they are excellent

Bought one of their waterproof jackets. It wasn't waterproof. The continual 1/3 of original price offers speak volumes imo

I've got one of the windproof/showerproof pull-over jackets. It's really good for the price I paid - around £40 3 years ago.

I have one of there wet weather jackets and its ste. Wouldn't recommend them. I have a pair of shorts too and the elastic has gone on them. They lasted about 6 months.

I think the fact they are more likely found discounted in GO outdoors than at full price in a cyling shop is aenough of a flag for me to avoid them. Budget gear wise Decathlon stuff seems good enough for the money they charge.

Got a base layer, cheap and does the trick.

When you say cheap, are we talking wholesale or sportpursuit.com cheap?

My waterproof jacket I picked up is waterproof but some of the internal stiching has started to go. Saying that the stitching on the shorts I picked up same time has failed once on the side pull. Both bought at the NEC bike show last year. Cheap & cheerful.

Bought a windshell and the zip got stuck most times I used it due to poor design, in the end I got fed up and accidentally ripped off the zip when putting it down too hard.

Pretty universal. Its cheap, but I'd rather it lasted for a bit.
