Anybody got any recommendations?

Trying to organise something for 4/5 of us. All competitive petrolheads, the more laps and the less talk the better etc.

Have already been recommended Gosport and its been mentioned that Eastleigh is ok but not enough opportunity for overtaking.

Thanks

SS2.

Gosport is a far better track for racing than Eastleigh, IMO..

+1 for Thruxton, outdoor karting is in a different league to indoor karting IMO.

And another for Thruxton.
Spent an epic Friday afternoon there a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic!

Yep, another one for Thruxton here! But be warned...once you've been there, you won't ever want to go back to the crappy indoor circuits!

I took some mates to Thruxton, it was ace. Proper length track and chalk and cheese to the crappy indoor stuff.

Thruxton is fantastic! Brilliant outdoor circuit. Gosport is ok, Eastleigh is damn slippy, lots of powersliding.

Great fun.

Another vote for thruxton here. The indoor one just outside Salisbury is good for an indoor one

I get discounted entry at Eastleigh and would happily pay the extra to go to thruxton again!

Edit - not that Eastleigh is bad mind you, but Thruxton is the steak vs Eastleighs McDonald's!!

I can recommend gosport, I even got to do 2 weeks work experience there 13/14 years ago smile there is also a new indoor track at Basingstoke but I have yet to try it out.

Wessex Raceway near Salisbury is pretty good, a lot more laid back (not stopping the race every time someone farts!) than Eastleigh and gosport which leads to better racing.

Can't beat Thruxton though!

Thanks for all the replies,

Cost proabably will come into it and though you probably get what you pay for, Thruxton does involve dumping a few more notes than the others. I'll see what my colleagues/friends think.

Salisbury sounds good if its a bit more laid back, I get the whole safety thing but It'd be nice if they just let you race!

As said, once you kart outdoors, you just see indoor as second best.

So my vote goes to Thruxton.

Thruxton, indoor karting is so poor compared to outdoors.
