I'm about to remove my passenger side door control unit and send it away for repair, is there any reason why I can't still use the car with just me in it, I presume the boot won't open as it's on the same controller as the passenger door?

Mine worked without the unit. I left the connector hanging out of the centre console so I could swop the units around to open the boot whilst the unit was fixed. Untidy but practical. smile

Thanks Green Fly, I can't see me using it much over the week it will be away but you never know. Been meaning to get it done for months.

Don't forget you can exit using the emergency pulls if unfortunate to need them rather than swopping the units over.

My passengers have been using theirs quite often, of course my side works perfectly.
