Just thought I would post a link to a free gathering of Retro Rides in Richmond Park next Saturday.

http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/156106/retr...

Retro Rides Vs. The Deer in Richmond Park, London.

September 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Retro Rides are heading down to Richmond Park in South London. We are aiming for the Robin Hood Gate car park if we have the room.

There is a map of Richmond Park here : http://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/richmond-park/m...

We’ll meet up from about 9-ish until about midday and then if anyone fancies it a short cruise down the A3 to Krispy Kreme for some suitable doughnut shaped lunch/snack, and then home.

This is our first attempt at a London park meet up, let us see how it goes, maybe we can make it a regular thing.

If it's even a remotely nice morning, Richmond Park will be absolutely packed at that time of the weekend.

Best of luck!

I live right next to the Park and there's usually enough room for an informal gathering. It's easy enough to take a leisurely drive around the perimeter if the car park does fill up anyway.

I'm hoping Princess Ann might drop by in her GTE Scimitar?

Does everyone realise that the Robin Hood Gate entrance is pedestrian only - there's no easy exit to the A3 to go get the donuts. lick The car park there is pretty small as well - might be better heading for the Pen Ponds (the nearest car parks on the dead-end road heading North West from Robin Hood Gate).

It's all pretty fluid and will just play things by ear. Hopefully Fenton and Princess Ann will sort it out between them though.

Yes, was a nice little meet. A couple of hours chatting about old cars and a run down to have some coffee and donuts, and talk about old cars. There's another planned. As it goes, the park officials were pretty welcoming and Joe Public seemed to enjoy there being a few old cars to look at. smile
