Would you work a job that is 12-17 hours a day 6 days a week?

Just got a job working those hours, done 4 weeks of training and it just feels like I have no life anymore.

Depends on a number of factors:

Salary
Enjoyment factor
Prospects

Would I work a 100 hour week for 10 grand in a job I hated? No

Would I work a 100 hour week for 80 grand, testing Ferraris, with a Ferrari F1 drive in a few years?
Very probably.

Extreme examples, but you get the idea.

Hope your not driving a Cherry Turbo for 12 hours a day! What are you selling?

I do a lot of driving up here for my job, even in a (company!) Diesel Insignia the roads are amazing. My Type R Accord is pretty well suited to the roads but i fancy another MR2 Turbo or an RX8. I'm in Beauly if you fancy a mini meet, not that you'll have spare time!

Back to the focus for now, cherry engine blew. Not sure I enjoy the lack of being able to do anything except sunday.

Cant go out at weekend and stuff, only 18 so dont need serious money so doesnt feel worth it.

Sounds pretty st for the hours.

You're 18 bud, you need a job that gives you enough money to survive, get hammered and be out on the pull as much as possible.

Imo its not worth it, commission based i guess so unless your really flying 40k will be top end.

As i got older i realised theres a lot to be said for working less and having more free time.

Top woman in the local branch made 95k last year. 40k isnt *top* but the average.

Also I dont need that much money to get pissed each weekend as I still live at home.

17 hour days, 6 days a week, doesn't sound like an employer who give a damn about the safety or health of their employees.

Ah right you said "up to 40k" which sounded like the most was 40k.

Do you know how much of her business is repeat business?.

If 40k is average and someone is making 95k, someone is well under 40k.

Her and some other bloke, get given the big deals and return customers first.

Lots of people on 60-70k, about 500 salesmen working for the company.
