How can someone make such a statement and include vague insults to 'old imperial powers' be still in control.
This guy is a complete idiot ( impo).
As far as I'm concerned the guy is shameful and verging on the Mugabe.

I was once on an 18-30 holiday and played a 5 a side match at 40C, I was fit at the time but it was ridiculously hard work, problem was no one wanted admit to it. The ball got kicked over a fence and lost, everyone was secretly pleased! I can’t begin to imagine what it will be like for the players.
I hate him with a passion, he has to be corrupt. What I struggle to understand is that the Olympics in London was all about “sustainability” and green issues so I assume the world cup is the same. How can it be “green” to air con the out of everything all run on fossil fuels!
There will be no atmosphere as everyone will be transported from their air conditioned hotels via air conditioned buses to air conditioned stadiums. No street parties, no fan parks (in the same way).
All topped off with a country with no football history!

Laws of libel prevent most of us from saying what we think about Blatter, but on a separate note aren't the stadiums meant to be AC'd? If so, what's the issue? And if not, why not? It's not as if they're short of a few bob over there. They can do their usual thing of slave-driving the immigrant labour into making it happen super-cheaply.
The whole thing stinks to high heaven, just like any England fan who might find himself out there. Of course, we might not get out there in the first place, in which case no worries. In fact it would be a good thing to see what the Prem is like when it's denuded of its world stars, most of whom will be out there playing for their countries.

I am sure a few of the world's FA's just need a few countries to stand up to this corrupt organisation.
Those who would like to (and can) host the tournament that year would put their name in a pot and its a straight name out of the hat job.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who played for Germany in the 1982 and 1986 World Cup finals and is CEO of the Bayern Munich football club, was stopped by German customs officials at Munich airport on February 7, The Mail on Sunday newspaper reported.
Returning from a visit to Doha to attend the ECA’s annual assembly, which was funded by the Gulf state, he was searched as passed through the ‘nothing to declare’ channel. After a search of his belongs, airport officials uncovered two Rolex watches, estimated to be worth around £84,000.
The 58-year-old ECA chairman claimed they were a gift from an unnamed friend and he did not realise he had to declare them. Reports in German said he has been fined €250,000 ($338,974) by tax authorities for failing to declare the watches and who he had received them from.

I'd always assumed that with UEFA so closely linked to FIFA, English clubs would be immediately banned from European competition.
