Birmingham (ICC) on Sunday Evening
Discussion
Chaps,
My missis is going to a 'work do' on Sunday evening at the ICC near Birmingham.
I'm taking her there and will be waiting while she is in the 'do'. Which means I will have three hours to kill in that part of the world on Sunday evening.
Any bright ideas what to do? The obvious suggestion is to find a wireless hotspot and surf PH for three hours, but I don't even know whether there is a decent cafe/pub nearby for me to do that. (And the laptop battery wouldn't last three hours so I'd need to plug it in.)
If any PH-ers fancied meeting up for a half of shandy I'd be happy to chin-wag for the period. Have to go easy on the booze 'tho as I'll be driving back to Lahndahn Tahn later on.
All suggestions welcome.
Oli.

Make sure you park at Brindley Place or at The Mailbox car parks first of all. Pricey but 100% safe and close enough to the ICC. Depending on opening times the Ikon Gallery in Oozells Square (in Brindley Place) usually has something interesting to look at and has a decent tapas bar. Otherwise, the later it gets, the less appealing it is to wander around Broad Street but The Mailbox is always worth having a look around and The Cube which is next door. You will also see Brum's famous canals.
eta, There are decent restaurants in both Brindley Place and The Mailbox.

The ICC is on broad street, which is the centre of birminghams night life.... you will have no problem in finding somthing to do.
What he says
I don't think three hours will be long enough, but shandy...
There's even narrowboat pub rides ISTR.
She may have to wait for you to finish enjoying yourself.
Ah yes, Brindley Place parking, near the Sea Life Centre.
