Grand Chelsea Rendezvous
Discussion
I'm surprised this isn't on here already, so here goes:
Over one hundred classic and supercars will be congregating on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea on Sunday the 8th September for the Grand Chelsea Rendezvous, organised by The 96 Club of Chelsea.
Cars will arrive from 9.00am and an hour later, at around 10.00am, the Grand Cavalcade of cars will depart from the Royal Hospital Chelsea, parading past Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch and Harrods (as well as the new A. Kahn Design boutique on Kings Road - got to get a plug in, since I work for the guy and I'm typing this on his time!).
The event promises a spectacular selection of classic and modern beauties for enthusiasts, serious petrol heads and casual browsers alike. Anyone who owns an interesting car is invited to pre-register with Kahn Design and bring it along. Visitors on foot are also welcome to come along and view some of the world’s finest motor cars in the beautiful grounds of the Royal Hospital.
The Grand Chelsea Rendezvous aims to raise awareness and funds for the work of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the long time residence of the world famous Chelsea pensioners. These brave men served around the world so that we can enjoy the freedoms and lifestyles we are so lucky to have today.
Patrons of the 96 club include Sir Stirling Moss and Derek Bell and it is Afzal Kahn’s pleasure to be working alongside this historic and well known society.
This is a charity-led event and the Hospital benefits from our clients' patronage: all payments will be taken at the gates as they enter the grounds. £20 for entrance with a car that will be on display, £5 on foot.
The Royal Hospital Chelsea has put its grounds at our disposal in exchange for donations and our efforts to raise awareness of the Chelsea Pensioners’ Appeal, so please bring friends and like-minded fans of all automotive exotica.
