Just seen the Gumball thread - and if those think they can drive hard - then they need to see the videos of Walter Rohrl (I think that how it is spelt) hooning around Nurburgring in a RUF 911 Turbo of 1980's stylee.

Everytime I see it it makes my hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Quite how he keeps the together is a complete mystery. If anybody would like to have a copy to host on their website so that everybody may have a look, email me.

Trust me Schuey is nothing compared to this guy...

U have to see the vids (or the official video Fazination or something similar) as they are simply out of this world - the pikes peak one is nothing compared to these - trust me.

Put Röhrl, Carrlson, Burns and McRae in the same cars and then we'd have an even more exiting World Rally season!!! IMHO Röhrl would win although he's almost as old as me!!! Schumi wouldn't even get to the starting grid against these real drivers!!!!

Whatever happened to that BBC series they used to do where they took the top drivers from F1 and other roundy roundy sports and rallying and tested them in variuos cars and surfaces?

Seem to remember that the rally drivers won it every time.....

Walter is a god, without doubt. The Group B Supercars video I bought years ago has the cameras pointing at his feet; pressing the pedals in combinations that shouldn't be allowed and stamping on all of them like he's driving a Micra, not a 500PS Quattro Sport.

I would question the Faszination video, though. If memory serves that car was driven by the official Ruf test driver Stefan Roser (I think). He was invited to do the Autocar Sideways Challenge a couple of years ago but had to decline as all the cars were RHD. I may be wrong.
