10w40 Semi Synth - Mazda recommended
5w40 - Fully Synth - used by many people with no probs

I used to use 10w40 Castrol GTX Magnatex in mine. It seemed to like in

Mine never once needed any, in between services.

Pwig, as a veteran of both a MK1 and a MK2, yes the wooden Nardi goes straight on if you have a placcy one.

In terms of oil, I used to take 5 litres of Halfords fully synth along to each service. Great oil at a great price.

I have a wooden Nardi hanging on the wall in my garage, complete with boss. I put a Momo on my previous roadster and this one is now surplus to requirements. Just missing the centre badge/horn push! Nice wheel.

My 1.8iS has a decent factory leather Nardi wheel. So much better than the plasticcy four spokes on lower spec models. Great on long blasts through the twisties in France. Does a good job of disguising the airbag too.
