Upgrade time!!

Ok so at the moment I'm riding this:

I expected this to be the perfect bike, everything I could ever want and its been great but I think its time to update a few things

First of all the brakes, the Cannondale ones feel a bit basic so I'm thinking of upgrading to these:

Next the big purchase, I'm thinking of changing the forks. I do a mixture of trails and road riding on the bike (I live next to Betws y Coed so I can use the Marin trail quite easily) but I haven't got a clue where to start! I like the look of the Fox forks but I don't think my budget will stretch that far (Max £300). Im not sure if my current forks are tapered or not, the stem is the usual 1 1/8" but Im guessing the headtude is 1.5" with adaptors to bring the size down?
I'm a fairly big lad (6ft3 about 17 stone) if that makes any difference to the forks?

Any other quick,cheap and easy upgrades you can suggest?

When it comes to brakes take a look at the Formula web site, they have a clearance/outlet shop that often sells off sets at near to nothing, even with shipping and import taxes! About a year ago I bagged a complete set of K18's, including shipping and import taxes for a shade over £100, and a set of Mega's including 206mm discs for just under £150! Take a look here

Little gain but nice to look at upgrades are bars, stem, pedals, seatpost, skewers (love the Crank Bros split skewers), set.

More noticeable gain would be cranks, wheels, groupset.....

All depends on your budget!
