Hi
I currently live in Switzerland but am interested in buying some property in England, and was wondering if anyone can recommend an independent mortgage advisor for Suffolk area (I will coming back to the Stowmarket area for a few days) who can go through what the requirements are for taking out mortgages for expats.
Also, do they normally charge a fixed fee or commission based

Any help/recommendations appreciated

I'm not based in Suffolk but I am an Independant Mortgage Broker. Location is of no concern as all transactions can be carried out remotely, most of my PH clients are based all over the UK, and a few abroad too.

Feel free to drop me a PM/email

I had my expat mortgage arranged through 'Liquid Expat Mortgages'. I would highly recommend them, they arranged my mortgage without even meeting them face to face, always replied fast and had a good rapport with the lenders who specialize in expat mortgages resulting in a very fast decision and approval. I recommended them to a colleague of mine here also who arranged a remortgage through them and was very happy.

Just to note, since Lloyds Banking Group pulled their expat mortgage products, there is less on the market to choose from. Drop them an email via www.liquidexpatmortgages.com.
