Sounds like the ones on my car - or they would be if they were still there: the previous owner fitted an alarm that has central locking control so I added door solenoids and did away with the press buttons. The door locks on my 82 Tasmin are most definitely Ford ones, from the Cortina Mk4/5 and Granada MkII and probably other [European] Ford models too.
The pics I've seen of the lock tabs/pins look to me also like the Ford ones from the same vehicles/locks, but of course other makes probably fit too, as they simply screw on...
I also know that the later Granada II models came with central locking, and those locks with original solenoids will fit (just!! with a slight bend on passenger side).
I think those original Ford locks were used in later Wedges with optional central locking, but never seen any pics to prove it.
