Sorry - there's gonna be a lot of this! I'm missing the passenger side door pull pin (the little black lock unlock pin).

They're obviously stolen from some ones parts bin - any ideas?

Plus side I had the console out and fixed the CD player. It would appear "Alan" made my console, lol!

Do you mean the black plastic knob on top of the wire that shows if the door is locked? Is the wire still there (it might just have slipped down inside the door?)

Yes that's it - just been out to the car and can't see the wire through the hole. Will have to pull the door panel and see what's underneath.

But what do they come off?

I seem to recall the locks being from the TR7? That would be a place to start.

Definitely not those - mine "one" is totally smooth at the top - no mushroom and only just pokes it's head over the door top

Sounds like the ones on my car - or they would be if they were still there: the previous owner fitted an alarm that has central locking control so I added door solenoids and did away with the press buttons.

The door locks on my 82 Tasmin are most definitely Ford ones, from the Cortina Mk4/5 and Granada MkII and probably other [European] Ford models too.

The pics I've seen of the lock tabs/pins look to me also like the Ford ones from the same vehicles/locks, but of course other makes probably fit too, as they simply screw on...

I also know that the later Granada II models came with central locking, and those locks with original solenoids will fit (just!! with a slight bend on passenger side).

I think those original Ford locks were used in later Wedges with optional central locking, but never seen any pics to prove it.

I am sure they are a Ford item. I got one of the links inside the door from a capri and thought that the bit you are after looked the same as from the Capri.

I'm thinking mine may not be standard then. I'll put a pic on later.

Waiting for a stormforce cover to arrive - 24 hours outside and I can't believe the dust that's showing on the bonnet alreay!

Ah-ha! Sounds promising - I'll post a pic when I get in to see if it's the same.

Any ideas where I might find out?

Is this the kind of thing that would be on the wedge pages?

Not being funny but did you check inside the door - quite often a plastic clip breaks and they fall in, wire 'n' all.

There was a thread a few years back where someone found the plastic clips - they often get brittle.

No I haven't yet - I will pull door trim off tomorrow.

Did you know you can't buy a black TVR flag in the UK - you have order them from Argentina of all places.....erm, can't remember how I found that out now *ahem*
