Weird flight path at LHR

I have never seen something like this.
The plane comes from the right - pulls a hard bank right just away from final approach. You can see the plane on the left of the picture just over Brentford.

Plane then banks left and heads off to the left of the photo at what looks a more reasonable height.

A really bad approach by the pilot or something else?
Lived here 10 years and never seen a plane come this direction at such a height.
