2001 Alfa 156

Hi guys, I am currently in the market for a second car that will help be used mainly on the weekends (my focus will have the day to day responsibilities). I am in Australia, and have come across a pre-facelift 2001 Twin Spark (add is attached). What are people's thoughts, and advice on a 156?

Personally I'd stick with a manual gearbox, the Selespeed semi-autos don't have the best reputation for reliability and as it was one of the first robotised manuals the shift speed is slow and nowhere near as smooth as modern versions.

It's hardly the most exciting car for use as a weekend toy, even in v6 flavour...
