Clouds of dust from the combined harvester running up and down next to the run off stopped the action for a while at the Pod today. I'm guessing the farmer had never noticed that there was a drag strip next to his field rolleyes

The wind direction is hardly his fault!!!! Still it's an unusual way to stop the racing!

Harvest doesn't wait for racing unfortunately. Has to be done at certain times of the year so they had no choice.

Considering he doesn't frown upon the odd race car plowing the field at the end of the shutdown area I think we can cut them some slack smile

Surely it is better for the harvesting to have been done when it was rather than during the Finals?

AFAIK he does make every effort to not harvest during any race meeting and never during a big event but Mother Nature doesn't pay that much attention to Pod's calendar.

He certainly owns the land where the access to the facility is located. He and the Pod owners down the years have always come to a deal about how he gets a piece of the action.

Anyone remember when they had to suspend racing at Shakey to allow a plane to land?

More like his didn't check to see if racing was on before organizing paid workers and machines to be on site.
