The glass in one of my wing mirrors is waggling about rather alarmingly. Will it actually fall off? Is this a DIY fix or something more complicated? I would be grateful for suggestions and info.

Hi Mark, assuming your mirrors are the same as my S3 (which I think they should be), there is a small plastic tab at the six o'clock position which when moved from left to right locks the mirror in place (also assuming it is not broken).

Can't upload any pictures I'm afraid, but very simple.

Also, it shouldn't drop out completely as it will probably be held by two wires (demist) if it's the same as mine.

Unfortunately, I broke the glass on mine before I discovered this information frown

Assuming we're talking about a citroen cx mirror then there's some nice pictures of how you take one apart over here the only difference being that TVR helpfully made it so you can't get to the grub screw on an S by burying it inside the door.

Turned out the glue holding the glass on to the plastic behind it had failed some time in the past and someone had used double sided tape to hold it on. I chickened out fixing it myself, so RT Racing in Sheffield did it for me.

Thanks for your earlier replies.
