LGV Training/Career Move?

Does your licence that you have at the moment give you 7.5t entitlement?
If not, then you have to do that, then your class 2 and then your class 1. Along with the medical, theory test, hazard perception, and then the DCPC.
Then starts the fun of trying to find someone that will take you on without having held your licence for 2 years.
Wages are not as great as some people think they are, the hours are terrible, (60 hour weeks are the norm) you are treated as the lowest form of life just about everywhere you go, and there is a miriad of rules and regulations that you have to be able o get your head round.
If you get a tramping job then you have to move into the cab for a week, eating/sleeping/working in it, facilities are not great, and cost a lot of money, so you will find yourself sleeping in laybys, eating whatever you can store under the bunk and cook on a camping stove, spending the week washing with babywipes.
But saying that, my other half loves the fact that he is basically working alone without his boss breathing down his neck and he gets to see all sorts of new places.
