I'm meant to be meeting up with an old friend for breakfast tomorrow, can anyone suggest a good location somewhere between Coventry and Nottingham?

We ended up at The Cattows Farm Shop in Heather, it was a good run out and the breakfast wasn't bad either.

Bumping this as I'm looking for somewhere for a run out tomorrow morning. Maybe somewhere near Bradgate Park - are there cafés with parking around there?

Hi, unfortunately I have no great ideas for a stop off, however I live in Cov these days and folks in Nottm so happy to hear anything you find. Where in Cov are you?

I think we're going to go to The Cattows again, mainly as we've left it to the last minute.

I'm in Chappelfields.

I should add that the Cock in Sibson, is a good pub about halfway for an evening meal, Turpins in Twycross (I think) is meant to be good too, but haven't had a chance to go yet.

Cool will look into them then. Are you going to the PHSS to Silverstone in a couple of weeks?

Not sure, I'm on the list, but might be away that weekend, so will find out nearer the time.

I should be going on the Midlands Hoon to Wales in May though.

Can only think of one all day place .Not very high class, but the adjacent layby seems full of trucks most times. I used to take that as a good sign when out on the road. I've only once been in but it was simple, with decent trucky food, and plenty of it . A5 just after Drayton lane -Copper Kettle. Apart from the Cock at Sibson for a decent evening meal ,there's the Nelson at Ansley / Greyhound ( I think ) has a decent reputation at Sutton Stop ( Black Horse road ,exhall), just off the canal at Longford .

Thanks, I think I know the lay-by you mean on the A5.

I've also heard good things about the pub at Sutton Stop, I will check out the Lord Nelson at some point - thanks!

I don't know where they supply, but I'd suggest any pub within the CV AREA using a Frank Parker Steak is a place to visit.
