Hi, a friend of mine asked if i would sell his E46 for him, as he's just purchased a Honda S2000.... I said i would, as i owe him favor or two.

I always assumed it was an individual car, due to the colour scheme, but whilst drafting the advert i went and checked the sticker on the turret and it wasn't an individual sticker, although the engine bay is colour coded and not black/grey.

Its a 51 plate 330i Sport saloon and the colour is 'Oxford Green' - was this an standard colour on that age of E46? the interior is either Champagne or Ochre to the seats and door card inserts but the rest of the interior is black, including extended leather to the door cards - surely individual?

This isn't designed to be an advert for the car - actually i am 95% tempted to buy the car off him for my own use.

Thanks,

Richard

Hi - I cannot comment on much of your post but I can say that my 2002 e46 was Oxford Green and it was definitely NOT an Individual. Not to everyone's taste that colour, but personally I loved it

Thanks - I always thought it was Fern green until i checked the sticker.
I think if the car had a black interior, i would not be considering buying the car, but the interior it does have suits the traditional exterior colour - Although if i do buy the car i will swap out the black 'cubed' interior trims for a wood option.

My old e46 coupe had an individual paint spec, Ruby Red and it had indivual on the kick plates as you opened the door. However when I had the bonnet resprayed the info on the turret stated the the car was originally meant to be blue.

The VIN data sheet on mine has a separate section at the bottom relating to the individual spec:

Individual vehicle data

Text
---- Processing Individual
Sign "BMW individual"

0490 Color
Paintwork "atlantis-metallic" (code 399).

oxford green was not an individual colour at the time

Oxford Green is a standard colour. The interior defiantly individual because of the colour and the fact that its extended.

Light yellow nappa (and black nappa) were on the standard options list. Rare on an E46, but not individual.

Please forgive... It’s the first time on any forum! nevermind this one.

I own a BMW e46 330i, 4 door saloon, (Sport, That’s before BMW though we can make more money calling it MSport).in Oxford Green met 2.

As I understand it according to the DVLA here in the UK. It is one of only 3 registered with them on UK roads of this engine size and colour.

Previously on this site I noticed you had obtained information from BMW about someone else’s car from BMW records when it was new. This I have failed to do myself concerning my own car. So, I was hoping you could help in some way with my car please?

If you can, could you contact me on the following e-mail address please. I would appreciate it, thank you.
