Hi all,

Maybe a stupid question but just got my 60 plate JCW clubman back from Sytner after taking it in for service notification coming on. In between booking it in and taking it to them the Brake pad warning screen came up.

The last service was at approx 16,000 miles, the current mileage is 30k miles. Sytner were adamant that it doesn't need an oil service and only needed brakes and an aircon service.

Does this sound right?

Cheers

Chris

Probably what the computer told them was needed. Don't be surprised when you need to take it back in < 4,000 miles for an oil change though.

You should be able to check through the On Board Computer to see when an oil service is next due.

That's why I'm glad I've gone back to older BMW and Mini engines and back to real world service intervals.
This variable servicing drove me up the wall for 4 years with my old 130.

Me too, my MSC was last serviced in March, and the service indicator is telling another service is due in 20000 miles. Hmmm, ok, i think i'll get it done in March if that's ok, because 20000 miles would see me into 2015!
