Brake Pads / Brakes in General

Outer cables need to be in good condition.
Inner cables need to be in good condition.
Caliper pivots need to be clean and lubed.
Rims need to be clear of gunk.
Pad surfaces need to be clear of gunk.
The brakes as a while need setting up properly.

Check those first. No point fitting good pads if the rims are smeared in oil n grime, and your cables damn near seized.

After that, new pads. My memory of those RC calipers is that they run standard Shimano/SRAM compatible brake pads, so should just slot into the holder. Swisstop are good.

What levers are you running? Tried some Campag Xenons the other week: plastic flexy ste.

I'd try a set of the green swiss stop pads first and see how you get on before looking at calipers. They are expensive but they are good pads and did increase my confidence in the wet whilst running less than suitable tyres!

Providing the drop is the right length these 105 calipers from JE James seem to be a pretty good price though its worth shopping around. The pair would only cost you £70.

My Bianchi brake pads need replacing. From what I have read, as they are Campagnolo I need to replace them with Campagnolo or is there other makers our there, any recommendations?

SwissStop RacePro 2011 GHP II Brake Blocks - £16.46, The best there is - almost bought a set myself until I realised they were Campy.
