Started to hose the bike off after every ride and give it a sponge wash once a month or so.
I leave it to dry in a covered outside porch.

Cant help but think i should be spraying something on to protect it. A quick blast with gt85?

Are you talking protecting the paint or the drivetrain?

You should use chain lube to keep it running smoothly and stop it from rusting.

Frame etc needs nothing. GT85 is good for giving a nice shine but spray directly onto a cloth to avoid getting any on discs (if you have disc brakes).

As above, chain lube should be applied if you have degreaser the chain. Light oil should be used on other areas such as pivot points on derailleurs. Leave to soak an wipe of the excess.
