Rear tyres are down to just under 3mm.
What do others think is the cut off point in tread whereby you start to risk losing the rear end too easily?
Am I being paranoid and should I just use up the available life in them or is it dicing with disaster.
Just wondering what others decide to do.

How does the car feel? And how do you drive it?

With low tread depth I would easily lose the back end on a particularly slippery corner in the wet. New tyres and hasn't happened once.

Changed mine when down to 2,5mm and by then the rear was all over the place

It's fine in the dry but it does tend to snap a little in the damp, I know they are coming to the end of their life.
I don't drive it hard but I am going on a driving holiday with it in September so I'll put some new boots on before then
