Hey guys.

Just wanted to introduce myself into the whole pedal powered thing.

Just purchased a Saracen ariel 141. The bike is a monster compared to my previous overly large trek series 4.

Heres a pic:

Anyhow, i live near Mansfield and as such have a lot of flat nice trails to go at. However, after finding sherwood pines i decided the best course of action was to buy a more aggressive bike.

After buying it however, i was sent in for an emergency operation on a hernia and here i sit now, completely bored out of my mind wishing i was thrashing this thing down a hill somewhere.

Edit: I have had a chance to ride the bike. The day before things kicked off haha. It was a great day and i really enjoyed the bike, ended up meeting a couple of PH'ers at pines.

Nice bike, I've read some really good things about them - also saw Manon Carpenter ride hers once, allow to assure you they're capable of some outrageous speed.

Nice looking rig. Was only wondering yesterday why, since Saracen do so well in DH racing, they don't seem to sell more bikes.

When you're healed up, try heading East/North for some more interesting terrain to throw that bike at.

The price it was for sale at, at evans cycles was insanely competitive. I had my eyes on a norco sight 3 but the saving of about 400 pounds for almost the same rig just a bit longer on the bars was too good to miss.

Now im just itching to get back on it and get it set up for me and enjoy it.

Thanks for the replies guys.

nice bike, the ariel is a real weapon.

I know a few people with them, and have had a blast on one a few times as well.

rest assured they can take a bit of a beating:
