Reading the latest issue of Evo this afternoon (Grand Prix is far to boring to watch) I noticed that BMW's Z3 replacement, the Z4 is due to be launched.
It will be released in the U.S first!, But why???
It's a German car, so why don't the German's have it first?, stuff the yanks let them wait their turn!.
It's the same with everything these days. Films, Cars, Electronics etc etc.
It doesn't matter what country it originated from, the bloody yanks get it first!!
Why can't they sell it at the same time everywhere?
Why should the UK be last on the list every time (even for our own products?).

My theory is, that the yanks will buy pretty much anything, so if they don't buy it, it isn't going to sell anywhere else?

Erm, perhaps because it's built in California...? Well, if it's anything like the Z3 it will be.

Actually it's built in Spartanburg, South Carolina (east coast, slightly southern USA - think things like, "Yee-haa", Dukes OF Hazard, Pick Up Trucks, Professional Wrastlin' and NASCAR). But I would assume that is why the US is getting it first...

Probably like all "hairdressers" cars it will need to be sold to the largest hairdresser population in the world - California. Makes sense to me, whey do we want it here anyawy.

Hey lads lets not froget who is still waiting for the evo 7, wrx sti, skyline gtr, not to mention TVR or Lotus Elise. Your worried about the new Z C,mon! So often we are the last to get the good stuff. IMHO in this case we are the first to get the bad stuff!

Sorry ErnestM, quite right, SC. I was down in AL a few weeks back - Big into Dubbya Dubbya Eff, NASS-CARRR and the good ol' Duke boys. Nothing wrong with any of that as far as I'm concerned. Quite getting into NASCAR. )
