What's left of it is now being used for the production offices for the ITV series 'Vera'.
A bit sad and sorry really - all that engineering and manufacturing skill and experience gone and replaced with a small crew making average television.
A lot of the dock slips have been filled in now as well as most of the yard structures having been demolished....not to mention the old back to back streets leading right up to the yard perimeter than gave such iconic images as this....A bit sad and sorry really - all that engineering and manufacturing skill and experience gone and replaced with a small crew making average television.
