The Merc engine is great. Most of the bodykit is held on with self trappers and double sided tape. The larger wheels ruin the ride quality.

I've had nearly a dozen as company cars, all engine sizes/variants, and always loved the diesel.
No matter how hard you thrash it it's hard to get lower than mid 20's mpg.

Because it is?
The 300C history dates back to the 50s.
Camaros are built in Canada but are still "American"
300Cs are built in Canada, too, some used to be built in Austria but even RHD models are now built in Canada.
http://www.caranddriver.com/news/chrysler-300-chan...

300Cs may be built based on parts of the old Merc E-Class chassis but then the Camaro would be Australian on that basis.

It was also designed by Ralph V. Gilles, an American-Canadian automobile designer and first marketed in the US in 2004 before being marketed abroad in Europe and Australia.

For the same reason a Graz-built RHD PT Cruiser, Crossfire and Voyager are not American. Your 'Chrysler is American' argument hardly stands up. So is Ford; doesn't make a Mondeo American. Or a Lancia Thelma ( biggrin ) , if you wish to extend your argument.

Having said that, it appears that English isn't your first language, so I'll make allowances for you.

I needed an estate car to ferry my dogs around, so thought I'd try some solid German engineering. And since I only drive V8's, it had to be a Hemi. Unfortunately, it was massively underpowered. I can only put this down to it not being a proper Hemi. You know, like they used to put in proper American muscle cars. Sold it after about 4 weeks.

Irrespective of the forum argument, the OP would have had far more replies if this had gone in General Gassing.

If I could be arsed, I'd post links to show that when the 300C was released, it was manufactured by Daimler-Chrysler (92% Daimler/8% Chrysler), but I really couldn't care less, to be honest.

Capital letters doesn't make it true.

By the way; are you related to 351GT? Your use of English is equally appalling. laughlaughlaugh
