Is anyone else considering this event?

It would be my first Sportive but I feel I could do the 82mile Epic as I regularly do 50+mile solo runs. What is the terain like round Silverstone?

The only thing against it is that the weather in late October might be a little inclement!

Not far from me, would be my first attempt at anything like that, only been riding for about a month after not having been on a bike for about 8 years. Did manage a 24 mile ride over the weekend so I'd like to think I could tackle something longer. Might also make it easier for me to slip a road bike purchase past the other half if she thinks I'm taking this seriously.

i havent been riding for that long and did 55km on sat and 135km on sunday..

as long as you pace yourself shouldnt be too much trouble.

If this is an elaborate joke and I end up cycling round Northamptonshire in the pissing rain one Sunday in October there will be trouble....

Could be worse, it could be riding down a mountain through a hail storm in Wales during May!
