3000M Alternator?

Hi,

My alternator fell to bits on the way home last night so I'm looking for a replacement. I have a 1977 3000M, can anyone let me know what replacement alternator I am looking for (is there a modern equivalent or is it a scrapyard job?) also what fan belt will I need. Hopefully this will be the last thing that goes wrong for a while, I'm having a run of bad luck at the moment :-(

Alternator should be the Lucas 17ACR, fan belt is a 1300mm to 1325mm.

Thanks for the reply, I cannot find a Lucas 17ACR do you mean the Lucas LRA101 ? That seems to get mentioned a lot. Thanks for the Fan belt measurement.

Thanks for the great offer but I rang Adrian Venn up yesterday and he has sent me one already (arrived this morning!!).

Really kind of you to offer though :-)

Hopefully this should be the last of the reliability jobs that need doing then I might make an appearance at a local(ish) meet.
