Commissioning Engineers / Earnings. A question
Discussion
Ive been in Power Plant Commissioning for a few years, Im not sure what you mean by on target earning within commissioning. Which industry are these two 26 year olds in? Where are they commissioning, UK or overseas? Sometimes there is a bonus tied into a short term contract but its not ever anywhere near 90K gbp, ever.
There is good money to be made but thats overseas, in Saudi a good EPC commissioning manager could earn in the region of US$200k/per annum in the power industry, a commissioning engineer somehwere in the region of US$150k-180k, probably net of taxes. In Asia its a little lower but on a similar scale also net of taxes (in country taxes paid by client).
That kind of money is certainly not being offered in the UK on any power plant commissioning jobs, I know for a fact as I keep my eyes on whats going on in the "commissioning world", certainly not advertised anyway.
