Popped over to Go Outdoors to get a part today and had a nosey at a bike I'd got an email about, and had a nosey at this. For the same type of money as Boardmans, this does come up above spec. I was actually quite impressed. The main reason for having a look was the shifters for me, I'm trying to decide if I stay Shimano or go Sram when I convert mine to a 2x10 setup.

Didn't feel 13kg when I picked it up, I'd say the lighter side of 12 than 13.5.

Not bad, but I'd still stick to the Boardman or Decathlon 8.1 option.

The weight will be in the coil sprung forks - 2.4kg. Non-butted aluminium frame also. Non-tapered head tube too.

Have to double check the specs on the shock, but at first glance it seems to be on par with Halfords carrera kraken current model and that's a hundred to a hundred fifty cheaper. SRAM x5s, avid hydraulic brakes etc
