Having just bought a mk1 tuscan I am wondering if someone could shed some light on a couple of things. Firstly, why is there a rotating ball in front of the gear lever? If I keep rolling it it turns into a toothbrush holder. Now I do love this car but I wouldn't want to live in it!
Secondly is it possible to alter where the air blows out ie at your feet or windscreen?

Welcome to the club enjoy the little quirks

I was told the rotating ball is an ashtray..

As for the air blowing out I don't believe there is.

It's the Tuscan's fancy version of a rubbish tray that keeps that unsightly rubbish out of sight - the whole cylinder lifts out when you need to empty it by unscrewing after you lift it out. Put sweet wrapper in it - spin and it disappears (into the container below).

There is no way to alter where the air goes to unless you actually want to manually adjust the airflow inside the vent system to restrict the airflow to one area forcing more to another.

Welcome to the fold and congrats on the purchase =) ...PICS!

Well I guess that's innovative but I'm scared to look inside as there will be 12 yrs of cxxp in there!
The air blowing issue wasn't a complaint, I was just wondering if I missed something!
Loving the car by the way. A leap forward from the chim but I'm admittedly nervous about the bills... A very Jekyll and Hyde car that changes character around 3.5k. Love it!

Very nice! Garage seems to be a bit claustrophobic, though.

I might be missing something here but you can adjust the air by opening or closing the vents. The windscreen ones spin round to close/restrict/direct, like the ones in the dash pod, and you can push the footwell ones flat to stop flow.

Ha! Who's ever bothered with those? smile

Certainly in my experience they are all locked solid unless you've got the strongest fingers on the planet! wink

Who cares anyway, roof off, big noise , head out of window to see where youre going... smile
