Road trip from Hertfordshire to Glasgow....

Looking to travel up to Glasgow to collect a new car and would like to make a bit of a road trip out of it. I will be travelling with my mrs and daughter so will need to stop off every couple of hours so the little one isn't stuck in her car seat for too long.

Thinking of stretching it out over a 5 or 6 days, maybe a bit longer. So can anyone recommend some must see places to visit with decent roads to make it enjoyable.

Also looking for decent hotels / B&Bs to stay at on the way.

As I do this every couple of months, can I suggest you do, M1, M6, M74 in 6 hours, then use your time more wisely by heading past loch Lomond, through glen coe, up to applecross, take in sheildaig, and maybe kylesku over the following days…
