What TVR for my old man?

My dad has always wanted a TVR and I'm now in a position where I'm considering getting him one. Any advice on what would be suitable, in the sub 20k regions, that wouldn't break his balls with repairs and explosions? Feel free to point me to some in the classifieds! Or just general advice on what I should be looking for as a buyer...

The RV8 gives you all the TVR noise etc and the Griff / Chimaera give you a very nice English Sports car experience.

An S would be dirt cheap - 6k for a good v6 reliable ford engine or a bit more if you want a rover v8.

Both fast, fun and excellent support community and we go on the best European trips.

If it's the classic sports car look your dad likes I'd suggest a Griff or Chim. Cerberas onwards are mostly pretty hardcore and generally cost more to run all else equal.
