Yes I know they are getting on and I am realistic but I've viewed a few and the chassis just sucks !
So I'm interested in any tuscan any age mileage that has a recent rebuild and a good chassis
Am I expecting too much

Cheers Gary

Well they aren't new cars anymore, but Tuscans don't seem to suffer the same rot problems the chims, cerbs etc did. Mines not mint but it sure isn't bad either. If you want a mint one then it may be best you look for one with REALLY low mileage? Or one that's only been driven in the summer or dry days. I know when it comes to TVR's though that isn't the type I'd want to buy, mainly due to the fact cars don't like to be sat around doing nothing for months. Good luck in your search, how far have you been travelling to view them?

Don't give up keep looking, it's out there you just have to find it. Place an add in the TVR owners club mag under wanted that's how I found mine. Don't be tempted, hold out for what you want I travelled the country and spent 9 months looking at some lovely cars with the wrong spec before I found what I was after. Some nice ones will come up at the end of the summer if you can wait.

Hi All,

I bought a 2000 mrk1 last month after owning various RV8 TVR's.
I have to say all the Tuscans I looked at (3) had great chassis's.
Much better than the Griff's and Chim's I have hade for what its worth!

Cheers

Trust me it is,I spent hours getting it how it should be just silly bits that needed doing and the Nitrons was knackered, but it drives and sounds superb

I recently had my Tuscan's chassis stripped back to bare metal, some remedial hot work done, the metal surface prepped, primed with zinga (zinc cold galvanising), powder coated and waxoiled to preserve the car. At the same time I had all the bushes replaced, the Nitron shocks refurbed and new flex brake lines adde to the rolling chassis. I reckon it's now a keeper...

Thanks for all the replies and I guess I better view a few more.
Previously I had a 2003 t350 and the chassis for very good so I'm expecting a similar Std

I do like the blue one so can you email me with more info

the hunt is still on

Beginning to think I could be tempted to sell mine as it just doesn't get used enough. 2001 S, ex-Looney Tunes car, now resprayed white (love it or hate it I guess), Nitrons and most importantly a Power 4.5 rebuild.

Needs a bit of TLC cosmetically (well, a bloody good clean!) but all the important bits are in order.

In word yes, I have sent you a complete description of the Tuscan I have for sale that totally fits your requirements twice now and has had more done to it than you want and with photos, you have asked me the same questions twice and I have replied twice, and the last message from you was that you are put off by the mileage but you say any age mileage, the Tuscan I have for sale is a great example and worth every penny I,am selling it for, either buy a later model that's been kept in a garage or stop contacting people and wasting their time, if you want to buy my car the price has just gone up to £22,000 good luck

Personally I wouldn't let mileage be my guide, condition is key, and speaking from experience a car that has been used frequently tends to have fewer issues.

I really like your car, I will reply to all emails, can I have it for £7,500 smile

Seriously, I think op is mad, your car looks ideal but if he doesnt like it that should be fine, he just needs to stop messing you around. Wish I was in the market for one.
