Looks like my days of no pain are over, after almost three years of unadulterated fun, having difficulty changing gear and getting worse. Master cylinder is full, no leaks. I have noticed that the pushrod retaining nut was loose. Fingers?

Could the push rod have moved? How much thread should be showing on the master cylinder push rod?

Just booking it into the garage now.

set the linkage so just after the clutch opens (that is with the car in gear a second person can push the car)
the pedal hit the pedal stop

I was having a poke around and the retaining nut on the pushrod was loose, problem? Bite point is right at the bottom of the pedal, and not disengaging.

which do you adjust the push rod or the pedal as they can both be adjusted?

Just run that procedure past me again Walford?

Put it in gear, adjust until you can just push it with clutch engaged?

Disengages even,

Can't even remember seeing the stop, any one got a picture?

dosent mater what you adjust, as long as you dont open the clutch to far, this damages the fingers
hence person pushing the car in gear, when the car moves the clutch is open
you dont need to open it more (at that temp)

3 broken fingers Flywheel ok, slave looked ok.

Back on the road today and it rained, starting to sound like a blues song.

I must say it is wonderful now, I thought that it was ok before but totally different now with a new clutch release bearing, clutch pack and slave (might as well whilst it is apart.

I think there is a mechanism for upgrading or repairing the fingers. My friction plates had seen better days as well.

Now for some reason the display has gone, loose connection I think.

Lovely action on the clutch but since we did the clutch it now has a banging from the backend, diff, prop. Sounds like something catching. Have had a look but can't see anything obvious. What have we done wrong?

Check the exhaust isn't the culprit

first place I looked. Couldn't see anything, definitely something catching as it bangs to a regular beat.

Believe it or not, it was a 10mm bolt straight through the tread of the new tyre hitting the inside of the rim, it was worse going back and that threw me and my mate for a while. Just hope it hasn't damaged the rim.
