I've lost track.
Anyway, after reading about it here (somewhere ) I re-loaded it last night. My question is whats best to start with car/track etc.
I reckon Monza as there are plenty of straight bits but I did enjoy Zandvoort somewhat.
I have all the aids off (except auto gearbox) but what is the best car to learn in? I find the Lotus a bit light in the handling department.

The easiest track imo is monza and because of that there are always plenty of newbies (me included) to race against and the racing is generally pretty good assuming you can avoid the inevitable pile-up on the grid. I found the ferrari suited me and have stuck with it although I downloaded some base setting and played around with them until it stopped understeering through corners but didn't simply swap ends when I braked.
You should learn how to use the manual gearbox, it makes quite a bit of difference and doesn't take long to master (several engines though, obviously ).
