Hi chaps & chapettes!

Just bought a nice Tuscan from the PH classified vault...Spectraflair Silver.

Just an initial enquiry...I used to have a rather loud straight-through exhaust on my Chim and will be looking for a better noise from the Tuscan than comes as standard.

Nothing as ridiculously loud as the Chim's exhaust but certainly better than the standard exhaust note that it comes with.

I'm told Carbon Cans are the way forward...so...

1. Is this the only solution?

2. If it is where do I go to get it sorted and what £££'s am I looking at?

3. Anybody got any other ideas or suggestions?

Cheers in advance for any steers.

Oh...a pic...

decat pipes, more noise but not over the top, cracking pops and bangs also brings down engine bay temps.
Decat is no where near as loud as a sleeved v8 in my opinion

Spectralflair silver looks so good in the flesh it actually makes me ache a bit

Car looks great, enjoy it.

Re the exhaust try and decat it first and see how you get on.....then perhaps look at straight through pipes etc

Congrats, looks great.
Yep decat piece cost about 175,- and I bought Powertech cans which I believe arfe more or less the same as CCC.

The attached Youtube link of mine is from last year.
Apart from the rain noise and the fact that the coil pack was on the way out, you can hear the sound above all else around smile

Sounds so good!

Welcome! If you don't want much initial outlay, you could try sleeving your cans. Easy to do and can be done for the cost of a length of s/s piping. I'm my opinion, the noise is no where near as good as CCC's, which are a must have in my book. Decat after that if you want MORE!

Decat and half sleeved cans are a nice combination IMO. I find decat and fully sleeved/CCCs too raspy.

Do you guys with decats do the yearly pipe shuffle at MOT time to pass emissions?

Do you declare them on insurance?

Thanks

Decat, straight through CCCs and backboxes removed here. Absolutely unbelievable sound, a little too much as a daily though.
