has anyone remapped their Cooper SD? Any recommendations on where to go? I'm based in the Northeast, and good remappers seem to rather thin on the ground up here. I don't mind a generic map, as long as it gives me more power and economy.

i had a Cooper D previously which was remapped, and TBH the SD doesn't feel appreciably faster. The only thing that is faster is the rate the tank empties, with SD at 46mpg vs 56 from the Dooper.

All constructive advice welcomed!

I would imagine Superchips Bluefin was the easy route.

I was going to go to DMS when a friend who works for one of the biggest BMW dealers in the country recommended buying a plug in box from Ebay. I would never have tried something like this without his recommendation. I fitted it last night and it has turned a painfully slow Countryman into the car it was expected to be in the first place. It really has made a vast difference. The wife has said that it is already reading a few mpg higher than before and is way quicker.

Barge pole tuch would not. It is easy to get more power out of most cars but a what cost. You pay the extra money for somthing that has been fully tested and is mapped properly so that you do not cause problems.

If you think about all the data a car ecu looks, the mapping you should take account of all of them. A good example is just alowing the turbo to spin up more with out getting the fule level correct then what happens when the car is cold or hot.

There are a number of people out there that can do this work and should offer a warranty with there work. Super Chip have been around for a long time but I dont know if they do the cooper SD yet.
