Just a quickie,

My Father has recently bought a new C220 which appears not to have an area of the windscreen for a tag( for the autoroute in France), I believe these work in the same way as the Severn Bridge TAG system. Will the TAG work if it is attached to the screen next to the unit for the automatic wipers? He has called Sanef and Mercedes but cannot get a definitive answer.

Thanks.

I'm surprised it isn't in the manual. My CL has a picture showing the clear zones, one by the rear view mirror and the other at the mid-point of the bottom of the screen.

Thank you for your response, he said he had checked the manual but im sure this could have been missed. Is it safe to assume that if he places it next to the rear view mirror it should be ok? I will make sure he RTFM's tonight.

I have placed my péage sender (SANEF) just to the left of the rear-view mirror, and no problems whatsoever, approaching the toll at 20-30 kph.

Me too and it worked just fine in France last month.

If it's a solar coated screen, the dotted 'silkprint' area around the mirror should allow the signal to pass.

Standard screen shouldn't be a prob.
