Anyone know the standard rev limit on a 5.0 Chimaera, as i've just fitted Mark Adams chip / carbon plenum / large throttle bodies, and I think the rev limit is lower than it was, it cuts in at 5,400 rpm, it could be that because it revs easier at the top,I just think its lower because it feels like it has still got some to go. Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers, Nik

Don't know about the 500, but the 400 cat has a rev limiter at about 6200 as standard, and when Mark did mine he wopped it up to 6500 (apparently - never been there). Yours does sound awfully low and I'd check with Mark if I were you. Could be the tacho is duff or you have a misfire. A misfire could cause extensive damage if you leave it.

The 5.0 I was told had a rev limiter at 5,500 as standard. But stand me corrected if I'm wrong.

The 400 has a standard setting of 5850. Dunno
about the 500, but 5400 sounds very low to me.

Mind you, you probably want to be thinking of
chaging up anyway about then...
