Hi All

I'm in Spa this weekend, and wanted to take a quick trip over to the Nurburgring to see what activity is going on at the Nordschleife. I also thought I would take the opportunity to try a VMax run or two. Can anyone point me in the right direction for some derestricted autobahn that isn't far away from the Nurburging or the route to Spa? Any help would be grately appreciated!

Cheers,

Darren

The E31 just north-west of Koblenz is. But most of it is 2 lane only, so can get a bit dicey if going for it. Had a Cayenne pull out on my at 120 (he was doing 70). On the horn like a trooper, got a smirk when I went past him. Only got 1 chance over the whole of Germany to try a Vmax, it was usually quite busy and I like living. Crusing was ~100-120, got to 150 (gps) and came back down, just to say I'd done it.

In the end we took the E42 from Spa into Germany. After the border it goes to single carriageway for a few miles before going back to two lane autobahn. It's a bit twisty, but early on a Sunday morning we found space for a Vmax run before heading up the 257 to the Nurburgring (a great road in itself!).
