Opel pulling out of DTM in 2006
Discussion
After next years DTM championships have finished Opel has announced it will pull out, citing restructuring of funds and reducing its annual structural costs by £350 million.
With the DTM being so popular but currently only have 2 manufacturers could another step in?
BMW? Possibly, they've been there before.
VW (Audi already there).
another?
Does it need 3 or more manufacturers?

The Australian V8 Supercars series has only had 2 makes (Ford and Holden) since 1994 (?).
They banned everyone else (esp Nissan) because the local manufacturers (Ford and Holden) kept getting their arses kicked!
I prefered the old days when there was everything from Mitsubishi's to Jaguars.
Still it's been very sucessful since it went to 2 manufacturers.
